Plaintiffs: Richard Carryngton clerk of Swaton, and vicar of Threekingham, described by himself as 'a man of the age of three score years and having but one leg', and by the first defendant as 'a common disturber of his neighbours with unjust suits and frivolous actions, a man unlearned, a common alehouse haunter and a frequenter of brothel houses and infamous places, together or with other undecent, and unbeseeming pranks, not usually found amongst ministers'.
Defendants: Henry Thompson clerk, curate of Edenham (alleged to have procured an abortion), John Bull clerk of Jernham (indicted for hunting deer), Simon Pepper blacksmith of Edenham, and William Thomson labourer of Edenham.
