Subject: Assault upon David Williams, serjeant at law, whilst he was going from the Serjeants' Inn, Fleet Street, towards Westminster on the last day of Hilary term; defendant (coming from the court at Whitehall) assaulted him by hitting him three times in the back with an awl at 8 in the morning between Durham House and York House.
Regnal year: 40 Eliz I.
