This series contains minutes, circulated papers for meetings and papers of various committees and sub-committees at National Coal Board Headquarters. Included are the minutes of the Executive and General Purposes Committee and other papers which were perceived to be important at the time. There are also some records of the Minestone Executive.
The minute series is artificial in that records that make it up were brought together after they passed out of active use but were retained as a body of reference, mainly for litigation purposes, at NCB Archives Centre Mansfield.
