M/S notes and paper to EWT from AD (S) on various aspects of Sigint and its organisation in reply to paper from DD (Y) in WO July 1; Lt Col Sayer to DD (Y) on BP's cover requirements in proposed reorganisation of ME/N Africa UK Sigint resources July 1, passed on by DD (Y) to ME July 5; plans July 2 for EWT to accompany Treasury officer visiting Knockholt July 16; JS Colman to EWT summarising E cover and capabilities at FO stations Denmark Hill, Whitchurch and Hawklaw; trip report by Lt Col Sayer following visits to FO Sigint stations at Brora and Hawklaw, accompanied by Lt Cdr Ellingworth, CO of Beaumanor Y station, June 26-July 1; EWT to FO requesting all papers relating to negotiations between FO and GPO on Sigint stations at Sandridge, Brora, Cupar and Whitchurch 1937-1941, also requests copies of correspondence between FO and Commissioner for Metropolitan Police regarding Denmark Hill Sigint station; AS responds to AM request to restrict BP traffic going to N Africa and Malta July 10; liaison with Major GG Stevens in Washington and with ETOUSA in London; liaison with WO and AM; correspondence with Director CBME, AF HQ and 380 WU Algiers, with 276 Wing in ME on 380 WU Sigint deployment to La Marsa Tunis and with 351 WU Gibraltar; AM minute of July 1 requesting examples from Sigint of German exploitation of Allied comms to be used in briefing AM Signals Security officers; list of W/T I personnel at Beaumanor, Keddleston and Shenley, (written on back of leaflet publicising dance Apr 29 1942 at Woburn Town Hall in aid of local POW parcels fund); correspondence between Admiralty, BP and Office of Cdr US Naval Forces in Europe on US development of crypt breaking machine, US Sigint delegation to visit BP early July when subject to be discussed; ETOUSA to receive recording from BP of German non-morse transmission July 2; letter from Col Tozer of GHQ MEF to MI-8 on subject of Italian processing in ME, DOE between ME and BP; AF HQ to WO on Sigint identities of German forces in Sicily July 3
