Description

Short title: Gillibrand v Browne.

Plaintiffs: Nicholas Gillibrand.

Defendants: Peregrine Browne, Thomas Mead, John Browne, Robert Porteen, William Jury and Henry Smith.

Subject: Suit concerning the arbitration of accounts between the parties relating to a voyage of the slave-trading ship the Ann Galley and the payment of wages to the seamen. The cargo included eight 'negroes' [enslaved people].
