Subject: A cross bill following one submitted by the defendant. The children of John Richards doctor of physic, deceased, had exhibited their bill in Chancery against their mother on the death of their father and it was decreed that the deceased's money already invested should be reinvested by Dr [unknown] Edisbury master of the court of Chancery, on behalf of the deceased's children. Thus £6000 was lent to the defendant as a mortgage of his estate. There were some undeclared encumbrances on the estate and he had not paid all the interest: property in Kinlet Hall, Kinlet, Shropshire; Tetworth, Huntingdonshire and Everton, Bedfordshire.
