Plaintiffs: Francis Blick (alias Francis Pettipace) Ralph Lacy, Elizabeth Lacy widow, Henry King, Simon King, William Bowler, John Coker, Nicholas Parish, Frederick Bowler, Nicholas Bowler, Thomas Bowler, Robert Stallwood, Elizabeth Hawes widow, Thomas Parslow and William Costerd.
Defendants: John Ferrers esq, Thomas Adeane infant, William Abraham gent, guardian, Thomas Sanders esq, Robert Axton gent, William Payne, James Sale gent, Roger Wiggins gent, Thomas Bowles and Philip Bearcroft gent.
Subject: despite a verdict in the court of Common Pleas in favour of Adeane and his tenants, the plaintiffs, against the defendant Ferrers, the latter was attempting to reverse the judgement by a writ of error in the court of Kings Bench and lease the lands, to the defendant Bearcroft. The tenants wanted the protection of the law against their contending landlords who both claimed rent due and threatened them with eviction and interruptions to their husbandry and good management of the land: property in Princes Risborough, Buckinghamshire.
