Description

This series contains files relating to a wide range of work carried out by the Colonial and Overseas Service Divisions, especially pensions, personnel matters, the establishment of public services in colonial and former colonial territories and the recruitment and training of members of Her Majesty's Overseas Civil Service. The Divisions were also involved in the implementation of the Overseas Service Aid Scheme, and there are files relating to the territories in the scheme in this series.
