Essex to The Queen: Gift in fee simple, with warranty, of lands (named and described) by Monk's Wood (Monckwoodd) in Great Coggeshall, annexing (i) Gift of the premises in fee simple, with warranty, 2 Jan. 32 Hen VIII [1541], by Thomas Seymour, knight, to John Puntour, of Eversholt, co. Bedford, yeoman, his servant, and Robert Miles, the Younger, of Great Coggeshall (Great Cogshall, Coxhall); (ii) Indenture of bargain and sale of the premises between the Queen and William Sanders, 20 June, 24 Eliz. [1582]; (iii) Letters patent of the Duchy 23 June 24 Eliz. [1582] appointing Thomas Dockwray esquire and Thomas Gynes attorneys to take possession of the premises: Essex.
