Commission and certificate relating to an Exchequer suit between William Cole and John Bagley, plaintiffs, and Juliana Throgmorton, defendant, concerning a bond of £100. This was made in relation to a lease to Cole by John Throgmorton (of whom Juliana was executor) of the farm of the subsidy or alnage of the old and new draperies in London and its suburbs, and of the new drapery only in Middlesex and the borough of Southwark (Surrey). The commissioners findings are recorded, although they report that the defendant failed to appear at their second meeting.
