Three letters concerning a memorial of the merchants of London.
A letter from John Gilmour, forwarding an addition to the memorial of certain London merchants trading in Scotland, complaining of the fees exacted by the sheriffs' clerks of Scotland and by the keeper of the general registers of protests at Edinburgh.
A letter from Andrew Rutherford, Lord Advocate, requesting to see the original memorial from the London merchants, which has been returned to the solicitors of the Treasury.
A second from Rutherford, returning the documents relating to the memorial and stating that he does not approve of the merchants' request.
