Two letters from George Thompson, Lord Provost of Aberdeen and Alexander Dingwall Fordyce, submitting the recommendation of the magistrates for the promotion of Brevet Major Grier, commanding the depot of the 93rd Regiment, stationed at Aberdeen and shortly to join the headquarters of the regiment at Stirling Castle. They request approval for the promotion.
