Military; Courts; India; Law Officers.

Four letters concerning cases against members of the Horse Guards in the East Indies.

A letter from Fitzroy Somerset of the Horse Guards, transmitting documents relating to the cases against James McDonough of the 4th Regiment and Eugene Sullivan and Philip Sullivan of the 22nd Regiment, who have been tried by the General Courts Martial in India and sentenced to death [documents not enclosed].

Two letters from George Maule at the Treasury, transmitting the opinions of the law officers regarding the case [not enclosed].

A second letter from Somerset requesting that the case against McDonough may be further considered by the law officers.
