Three letters and a public notice concerning a Frenchman, named de St Hilarie.
A notice for a public meeting on Brandon Hill [Bristol] regarding a lecture by de St Hilarie, late president of the Royal Society of France, knight commander of the golden spur of Rome, late editor of La France, author of the histories of Europe and the cantons of Switzerland, to be given at the Albert Rooms, College Green [Bristol], on the national grievance of England.
A letter from W R Clarke, recommending that St Hilarie be sent out of the country, as he is a propagandist.
A letter from J B Pountney, Mayor of Bristol, stating that he will not allow a lecture by St Hilarie and if he persists in his intention the police will stop him.
A letter from Pountney, stating that St Hilarie remains in Bristol and his movements are watched by the police, but he declares his intention to go to Ireland.
