Two letters to George Grey from John Hobhouse, of the India Board, transmitting documents explaining the grounds on which the government of Bombay recommend the pardon of several criminals transported from the Straits of Malacca and recommending that the Queen should pardon these convicts on the condition that they remain in Bombay; enclosed is a letter from JD Dickerson at East India House and a report from LR Reid and JP Willoughby at the Judicial Department regarding convicts, Kim, Eang, Mudda Daxa, Ramson Oopadiah, Chee Juga, Shoobeah Malay and Salled.
