Channel Islands - Guernsey; Religion: Documents pertaining to land recovered on the Island of Guernsey which was given to St Sampson's Parish in order to build a new Sunday school building. Includes letters pertaining to grants given by the Treasury to complete this task, and a request that the services performed should be in English. Includes additional documents requesting a similar grant be made to the Parish of Torteval, with attachted letter from the Lieutenant Governor of Guernsey forwarding a request to Secretary Sir James Graham advising him not to grant the request due to the small size of the Parish.
