Two maps:(1) 'Map of the Island of Malta': shows contours, place names, roads, railways and buildings.The undated manuscript additions appear to show radii of distances from Valletta and Sliema. Reference table.Compass indicator.Sketched and compiled in 1895 by Captain E M Woodward, Leicestershire Regiment, DAAG, under the direction of General Sir A J Lyon Fremantle.Triangulation by the Civil Government Surveyor.Coastline from Admiralty charts.Lithographed at the Intelligence Division, War Office, 1897.(2) Another version of the eastern sheet of (1), with coloured manuscript additions indicating points south and west of Valletta.Signed by L Gatt, [Superintendent of Public Works], 1 February 1920.
