Gaol book, not of the Northern Circuit, but of the special commissioners of gaol delivery for the northern borders of England. It relates to gaol delivery for Cumberland at Carlisle, and for Northumberland at Morpeth and Hexham, and includes articles of agreement for the administration of criminal justice in the borders, made between the commissioners and their Scottish counterparts.
