Grant by Robert, bishop of Salisbury, V Kal. January, in the 13th year of his pontificate, with the assent of the chapter, to Ela, the abbess, and the nuns, of Lakoc, of the tithe of sheaves of the parish, the demesne meadow and the chief house of the church of Winterborn Sureveton, of which they were the patrons, on the resignation or death of Hosbert, the then rector, with provision for the perpetual vicar there, and, meanwhile, 2 marks yearly from the rector on the feasts of St. Michael and the Lord's resurrection. Witnesses: Robert, the dean, and others (named). Wiltshire. [Monasticon, Vol. VI, p. 506].
