Description

Feoffment by Roger Bavent, knight, to King Edward, of the manors of Molteston in Evyas and Colewineston, in Wales; the manors of Norton, Billeye, Withyhill, Emwell, Fifhyde and Trowe, Wiltshire and Dorset; his lordship, and lands and tenements in Puttefold and Hacchesham, Surrey; the manors of Shibburn and Hallyng, Kent; 40l. rent from the manor of Braundeston, Suffolk; and the manors of Wistneston, Iryngham, Asshehurst and Heen, Sussex; with knights' fees, advowsons, etc.; also grant to the king of the reversion of the manor of Coumbes, Suffolk, which Robert Hovel held for life of his inheritance; also grant to the king of all other his lands, etc. in England and Wales, the manors of Chiltyngton and Sloghtre, Sussex, excepted. Witnesses: John, archbishop of Canterbury, primate of England, Ralph, bishop of Bath and Wells, Ralph, bishop of London, William de Bohoun, earl of Norhampton, Thomas de Beauchamp (Bello Campo), earl of Warwick, Reginald de Cobham, Thomas de Brewes, Michael de Ponynges, John de Bray. Wales etc. London, 1 July, 1344, 18 Edward [III].
