Feoffment by William son of Hugh, to William son of Eylof, clerk (clerico), for his homage and service, and for 10s. beforehand in gersum of a messuage in Saham, to wit that which Richard son of Ralph formerly held of the church, lying in 'Malewecroft,' between land of Geoffrey Waleis and Adam Godrich, etc.; rent, 4d. on the feast of St. Andrew, the Apostle, and some gloves at Easter; if William die without an heir, or give it up (aliquo mode se deposuerit), John, William's brother, and his heirs, shall have it. Witnesses, Ralph son of Sir Warin, knight (militis), John de Ravelingham, and others (named). Cambridgeshire.
