Indenture between Robert Hull, lord of Halton, and Richard Pyperel, witnessing that, whereas Robert held his lordship, or tenements, in Legh Bryttevill, Strechchelegh and Cadelegh, and Brygge, Devon, in right of Isabel, his wife, of the said Richard by knight service, to wit of one knight's fee, and by a rent of 6d. at Michaelmas; the said Robert has paid the said Richard 100s. for his relief for the said fee, and done homage to him therefore; for which services the said Richard undertakes to acquit the said Robert and Isabel, their heirs and assigns, against the chief over lords in respect of the same tenements.
