Feoffment by Philip del Fyneye to Henry de Monkeforde of a place of land in the meadow of Oldebarkesford in length between 'le Petedelf' and the river Chirnet, and in width between the ditch (fossatum) 'del Petedelf,' where it abuts on (lanceat in) the Chirnet on one side, and the land which Hugh de Chelle holds of the lord of Chetelton on the other. Witnesses: William lord of Chetelton, Richard Schyrard, and others (named). Staffordshire. Oldebarkesforde, Monday the feast of St. Philip and St. James, 1318. Endorsed: Old Basford.
