Feoffment by Robert, called Schirard, lord of Chetilton, to William son of William de Stanleg', for his homage and service, of the land, with the new hall, buildings, meadows, etc. which Master John de Stanleg' held to farm of William de Chetilton, his father, in 'Oldebarkesforde'; to hold with all liberties and free commons within the manor of Chetilton, etc.; rent, ½ mark, etc. for all service, save the king's foreign service and four suits of his court of Chetilton yearly, etc. and save the site of a pond (vivarii) in Oldebarkesforde, to be finished (perficiendi) at the pleasure of himself and his heirs, etc. Witnesses: Master John de Stanlega, Walter his brother and others (named). Staffordshire.
