Description

Release by Henry de Bonevile of his right in all his land which he held held of Sir Henry Pipard in the town of Lappeuurthe, to wit that land which lies between the land of Anketil le Franceys and the land of Sir Thomas de Bisscopisdon, which William de Bisscopisdon father of the said Sir Thomas bought formerly of Sir Luke Sorel; to hold to him and his heirs freely, etc., doing therefore the service due to Sir Henry Pipard the chief lord of the fee yearly, 5s. 3d. at three terms of the year, to wit at Michaelmas, the Purification and Whitsuntide, 21d., and at Christmas four hens, for all services, etc.; for this gift, grant and quit- claim the said Sir Thomas gave him 15 marks beforehand. Witnesses: Sir William de Curly, Sir Bardulf de Cestreton, and others (named). Warwickshire.
