Description

Indenture being a feoffment by Thomas Clapeham, esquire, to William Clapeham his son and Joan daughter of William Scargill, esquire, and the heirs of the said William begotten on the body of the said Joan, with remainder in default to his own right heirs, of the manor of Lound and his lands, etc. in Thorneton and Burton in Lounesdale and within the parish of Thorneton; attorneys to deliver in seisin, Thomas Hopton and William Scargill the younger. Witnesses:—William Calverley and John Hopton of Armeley, esquires, and others (named). West Riding of Yorkshire. 5 September, 8 Edward IV.
