Description

Demise by William, abbot of Lilleshull, and the convent of the same, to John Catesby and Margaret his wife of the site of the manor of Braundestonbery with the lands, meadows, pastures and fisheries which John Catesby father of the said John formerly held and occupied by their demise, except two cottages, with land etc. adjacent, a meadow called 'Ladygoren,' seven 'godes' of meadow under 'le olde Orchard,' and except rents, services, customs, pleas and perquisites of court of all manner their tenants free and bond or tenants at will and 17s. yearly called 'weikselver' and 5s. yearly called 'lesowselver' to be received yearly from the said tenants for the herbage of 'Falghamwode' and 12d. yearly called 'fernselver' from the said tenants; to hold, with the above exceptions for twenty years at 4l. rent. Northamptonshire. Lilleshull, the feast of St Matthew the Apostle, 9 Henry V.
