Grant by Robert Maulore of Welleton, knight, to John his younger son, in tail, with reversion in default to himself and his heirs, of the land he had from Simon son of Segwyn Maulore together with a messuage and croft adjoining, in Welleton, and together with all the meadow belonging to the said land, except 8 acres he had exchanged with Sir Simon de Trop and Sir Ralph his son and with Robert de Duston and Robert le Heyr of Welleton, in place whereof he had given his said son other 8 acres, viz. part in 'Le Hemewong,' part at Colemaneslak, part on Crokeho, and part on Michelewellehul, with further grant of pasture for four oxen and two plough-beasts (affrorum) in Thruspittemor and Grenesiche, and pasture for six cows, in 'Le Grene,' along with his own, at the rent of a clove gillyflower for all service, save 12d. yearly to the heirs of Stapeltone. Witnesses:—Sirs Eustace de Watford, Robert son of Walter de Daventre, and others (named), knights. Northamptonshire.
