Description

Counterpart of demise by Richard Archer, 'squier,' to William Barker, William Wermot, Roger Cattystre, and Roger Barker, for ten years, at 40s. rent, of lands called 'the Newhalfeld,' 'Webbecroft,' and 'Shawebury,' enclosed by 'meres, heggys, and dyches,' from the 'Brodepit upon the parke Combe unto Chirchfeld,' and following Chirchfeld unto a mere called 'Croked Oke,' with the 'closure' between it and the new park, with leave 'to stokke and hewe uppe be the rotes all maner of busshes, thornes and trees' growing on the said land, except oak, ash, and crabtree, and also to have six hogs, yearly, in time of pannage, free, 'or elles to kepe and holde the seid londes severall in the seid tyme of pannage atte choice of the seid Ric[hard]'; and to take as much 'wode and trouse' growing on the said land as is sufficient for closure of all the said lands.
