Agreement between John, earl of Warrenne, and Henry de Writtlington, by which the said Henry binds himself to make assurance to the said earl, his lord, by charter and fine to be levied in the King's court, in the quinzaine of St. John in the undermentioned year, of his messuage in Herierdby, and of all his lands, homages of his men, rents and services of his tenants, etc. in Herierdby, Graham, and Dunsthorp, to hold to the said earl, after the death of the said Henry and Emma his wife; the said earl granting, yearly, to the said Henry four gowns, and two gowns to the said Emma, for their lives, from his wardrobe 'de la suite de ses clerks e damoiseles,' or 20s. for each gown by the hand of the earl's receiver of Graham; the said earl giving sufficient security for such grant.
