Acquittance by Michael Nevyll, for 40l. received by him from Thomas, Cardinal archbishop of York, etc. the chancellor, in full satisfaction of his right of inheritance, after the death of John Walshe, his uncle, in the manor of Andrewys, and other premises, and in a messuage, land, and a moiety of the manor of 'la Moteland' alias 'la Mote,' in Chesthunt, co. Herts. or in any other messuages and lands, etc. formerly belonging to the said John in the county named. Underwritten: Memorandum that on the above day, the said Michael acknowledged the above acquittance as his deed, before Richard Sampson, a master in Chancery. Endorsed: Memorandum of enrolment on the dorse of the Close Roll, in the month and year within written. Hertfordshire and Middlesex. 1 December, 11 Henry VIII.
