Grant by Garn[erius]de Neapol[i], prior of the brethren of the hospital of Jerusalem in England, with the assent of the brethren of the Chapter, to John de Bradene and his heirs, of a virgate of land in Mapoldre, before the house of William Russel, with the moiety of a meadow called 'Dikedemede,' which they had of the gift of John de Mapoldre; at John's death, and that of his successors, the third part of their chattels on the said land shall remain to the said house for the welfare of their souls. Witnesses:- Brother Alan de Sancta Cruce, brother Matthew, brother Robert 'parvus,' brother Osbert de Nordfolc, brother Salomon, brother Brian of London, brother Hugh de Burford, brother Nicholas de Cardinel, then Master of York, brother Simon de Scothia, Walter the clerk. Dorset. 1189.
