Description

Letters patent by the king, granting to Hugh le Despenser, the elder, [in part [payment of certain debts] due to him by the king, [the wardship] of the manors [of Hampton Meysi (co. Glouc. )] and Eton [Meysi (co. Wilts. ), which Nicholas de Sancto Mauro, deceased held [of the lands of Gilbert] de Clare, late earl of Gloucester and Hertford, deceased, who held of the king in [capite]; to hold [the said wardship] during the minority of Thomas, [son and heir of the said Nicholas.]: [Glouc.] [Wilts.]. [Claryndon, 8] February, 10 [Edward II].
