Indenture tripartite between Thomas, prior of the church of our Lady of Walsyngham, Richard Ventre, knight and Thomas Jiggis, gentleman, witnessing that the said Richard has deposited with the said prior a deed by which Symond Ventre granted to Richard Creyk and others, the manor called 'Ventres Maner' in Brunham St. Clements and other towns, the said deed to remain with the said prior to deliver the deed to Thomas during any action against him concerning the said manor by Richard Ventre; the said Thomas to take no advantage from the said deed, except for the defence of the lands of which he is seised at the time of making this indenture, and for defence of the lands which John Hony lately bought of him etc: [Norf.] Annexed: Pedigree of the Ventre family in so far it concerns the above-mentioned deed; certified by Sir Richard Ventre. Monday after the Epiphany, 24 Henry VI.
