Confirmation by king Stephen of the grant by Walter Mascherell and Alexander his brothe, at the request of Edith their sister, to the nuns of Wikes, of the church of St. Mary's, Wikes, and of land and villeins in Wikes, with the said grantors' garden and mansion around the said church, and land in Fretenges: also further grant by the king of soc, sac, infangenetheof etc with customs and liberties as King Henry (I) commended by his grant. Witnesses:- M(atilda) the queen, and William Mart,' at Geldeford. Essex.
