Grant by Robert the abbot, and the convent of Rameseye, to Joan Smalwode, wife of John de Overe the younger, for her life, of a daily allowance of two white loaves and two gallons (lagenas) of good ale from the same cask which the convent uses on the day, and done dish of meat or fish; also grant to the said John of the office of boatman of the convent (naute nostri) with clothing and wages, or of some other office within the abbey: also further grant to the said John and Joan of a dwelling-house, rendering yearly to the manor of Biggyng two capons at Christmas, with one attendance yearly at the court of Biggyng etc: [Hunt.]. 15 April, A.
