Release by Simon de Montford, earl of Leicester, to the prioress of Sopwelle and to the warden of that house, of the common suit of frankpledge belonging to their persons for a hide of land in Crewelton which Hugh de Keynes gave to the said prioress and to the convent in frank almoin; saving to the earl the view of frank pledge of the inhabitants of the said land, for observing the king's peace. Witnesses:- Sirs Giles de Argentem, Richard de Haverhing, Henry de Meynil, and others (named): N'hamp.
