Letters patent by Oliver, bishop of Lincoln, to the king, certifying that in accordance with the king's writ to him [recited], he has called before him the parties in an action for dower by Alice, late the wife of Robert de Watervill, against John de Veer and Ida his wife, for the third part of a messuage, land, and rent in Little Addington, and against Reginald de Watervill for the third part of a messuage and land in the sme, the said defendants having denied the legitimacy of Alice's marriage, and that the said bishop has found sufficient proof of the said marriage: [N'hamp.]. Bockedon, the day before the kalends of June (May 31), A. D. 1281.
