Description

Letters patent by Hawisia de Saumford, acknowledging the receipt from Sir Philip Basset and the executors of Sir Laurence de Samford, her late husband, of a charter of feoffment of Dauntesye, made to the said Laurence by Sir Gilbert de Dauntesye, and of a charter of confirmation thereof by Sir Gilbert de Dauntesye, and of a charter of confirmation thereof by Sir Richard de Dauntesye; also of the chirograph made between the said Sir Laurence and Gilbert of land in Dauntesye, Bremelham, Wivelesford etc and of the letter of attorney by the said Glbert to give seisin to the said Laurence of the manor of Dauntesye: [Wilts.]. London, feast of St. Gregory, 45 Henry III.
