Description

Grant in frank almoin by William Vasselier, to the monks of St. Pancras, (Lewes), of Edward de Lpeherst and his heirs, and all the land which the said Edward held in Lopeherst, which land William's ancestors granted to the said monks. Witnesses:- Robert the chaplain, John de Coking, Simon Waur,' Richard his son, William the chaplain of Stedeham, Henry the steward (senescal') Osmond del Ortiei, Martin de Clera, the porter, Joseph the marshal (marescall'), John Buchard, and others. Endorsed: 'In rapo de Arundel. ' Sussex. Twelfth century.
