Description

Agreement between Sir Alan Basset and William de la Rude, whereby the said William is to hold from Sir Alan certain land and moor which Thomas de la Goldhord held in Wocking manor; in return for which and for a purpresture adjoining the road from Herisull to Sithwod, and extending from beyond Parlingeford, the said William has released to the said Alan, all his right in the land which Thomas de la Goldherd held, and all purprestures which Alan or his heirs have made in Woking manor. Witnesses:- Sir War' Basset, and others (named): [Surrey.]. Feast of Purification, 13 Henry III.
