Description

Grant by Roger de Astwyk, to the king, of land etc with a certain island called 'la Ruwesand,' with release also of all his right in the wardenship of the park of Haddele (Hadleigh) and certain rights therein; which premises came to Stephen son of Odin, Roger's ancestor, from Geoffrey de Pertico and Matilda his wife. Witnesses:- William, lord of Latymer, chamberlain, John Knyvet, chancellor, Richard Lescrop, treasurer, Nicholas de Caren, keeper of the privy seal, William Strete, and others: [Essex.] Endorsed: 'Irrotular in dorso claus' cancellarie Regis infrascripti mense Junii anno infrascripto. '. Westminster, 20 June, 47 Edward [III].
