Description

Indenture between Robert de Marny, knight, and Alice his wife, daughter and one of the heirs of Richard Lacer the father, and sister and one of the heirs of Richard Lancer the son, Robert de Bourton, late warden of the chantry of the church of Leyre Marny, John Mareys, of Salcote Virly, chaplain, and Philip atte Bregge, of the one part and Katherine, late the wife of John atte Pole, of Shordich, another of the daughters and heirs and a sister and heir of the above Richard and Richard respectively, of the other part, concerning the partition of lands, etc, belonging to the said father and son in London, for which Katherine had sued at the Husting. It is agreed at the Husting before Adam de Bury, Mayor and others, that Robert, John and Philip shall have for their share of the tenements in St. Michael Paternosterchirche parish those between the church and Bow-lane on the south, tenements that Domengo de Espayne hold on the north, the highway called 'la Reole' on the west, and Walbrok and a long stable on the east, with all stone walls,light for four windows towards the north, 'les distillations' and other watercourses, etc, to be charged with 7 marcs yearly; and Katherine shall have the said tenements that Domego holds and the said stable, to be charged with 4 marcs yearly, remainder of 11 marcs devised in the will of Water Waldesshef, late citizen of London, 29s. due to the prior of St. Mary Overy, Southwark, and 8s. to the prior of Christchurch, London: [Middx.]. Saturday the feast of St. Luke the Evangelist, 39 Edward III
