Grant by Geoffrey de Madevilla, Earl of Essex and Gloucester, to Gilbert Waletun, for 20 marcs, of land with buildings in the parish of St. Mary Colecherche, at the corner of the little street called 'Ysmongeres Lane'; paying him yearly a tercel or 4 besants, and to the monks of St. Albans 7s., and of Holy Trinity, Canterbury, 11s., as chief lords of the fee. Witnesses:- William de Mandevilla, Hugh de Biblesword, then steward, Ralph Cheinduit, Serlo, then Mayor of London, and others (named): [Middx.]. [A. D. 1213-1216.]
