Grant by Stephen, the prior, and the convent of Holy Trinity, London, to Benedict Joie, for 2s., of the land they bought of his sister Matilda (who was the lawful heir, Benedict not being born in wedlock), for as long as he pays the yearly rent of 4s., the land only having yielded them 16d. before they bought it. Benedict will also pay 16d. for his own land which he had after his father's death. Witnesses:- Benedict the Deacon, Richard the Cook of Benit. ' Gilbert the Cook Foliot, Edward, son of Gocelin de Soca, Alexander son of Firmin, and others (named). (Middx. ). (A. D. 1294-1302. )
