Description

Grant by Henry de Sancto Albano to Richard, the prior, and the convent of Holy Trinity, London, for the souls of himself and Sabina his wife, of 8s. 4d. quitrent issuing from land he bought of Nigel Goldsmith, extending to Cornhell, between the land that was Richard Baker's and the land that was Emma Bonaventure's, in the parish of St. Michael, Cornhell, to provide a wax candle perpetually on the altar of the Virgin Mary, and 2s. for the canons on the day of his anniversary; such rent to be paid to the convent by the nuns of St. Helena. Witnesses:- Richard Renger, Mayor of London, Andrew Bukerel and John Travers, sheriffs, Roger Duc, John Viel, and others (named). (Middx. ). (8-9 Henry III)
