Description

Grant by William le Lutre that whereas he owes the prior and canons of Holy Trinity, London, 18d. yearly for land with a stone house which was Godeson le Megucyer's, in the parish of St. Olave by the Tower, if such rent be not paid and th eland he holds of them be so occupied (hospitata) that it cannot be sufficiently distrained, he will allow them to distrain on all his rents in Chikenelane, in the parish of Berkingecherche, till their rent is paid in full. Witnesess:- John Noreman, sheriff, Gilbert son of Fulk, alderman, John and Alexander de lesnes, and others (named). Endorsed: Anno xix. H. tertii. (19 Henry III. )
