Agreement whereby Michael, son of Michael de Wauton, tenant of two carucates of land in Waulton, quitclaims such land to Hugh, the abbot, and the convent of Ramsey; in return for which the abbot gives him 20 marcs, 15 quarters of wheat, and a palfrey, and allows him to hold the land of the abbey by knight service, with the exceptions stated, on certain specified conditions. Witnesses:- Master Geoffrey, dean of Lenn, William de Wicheton, then steward, Simon, parson of Waulton, and others (named): [Hunt.]. Monday after Trinity, in St. Andrew's Chapel, Ramsey. [A. D. 1254-1267.]
