Indenture between Edward IV. and George, archbishop of York, master of the hospital of St. Leonard of York, receiting that the brethren of the hospital, from time immemorial, had housebote and haybote in the King's forest of Galtres, for repair of all their messuages, supply of firewood, and enclosing of their closes; the King now, for preservation of the forest and the beasts therein, by the grant of the hospital, wills that in future they have haybote only for their closes therein called 'Lesmer,' 'Kelsthwayt,' and 'Grenthwayt,' and for compensation grants them all his water mills by York Castle, called 'Castelmylnes. ' Enrolled on the Patent Roll, 5 Edward IV., pt. 2, m. 10. York. Westminster, 19 November, 5 Edward IV.
