Description

Indenture witnessing that whereas Edmond Worth and George his son, son and heir of Elizabeth late wife of the said Edmond, have by deed dated 2 May, 21 Henry VIII (see E 40/652), bargained and sold to Henry Marquis of Exeter, for 300 marcs, the manor of Grylston, and 1,250 acres of land therein, the Marquis promises as soon as he is in peaceable possession of the premises to satisfy them such sums or lands of such yearly value (not exceeding 10/. ) as shall be assigned by John Rowe, serjeant-at-law, Baldewyn Malett, John Chamon and RichardHhaydon, or the most part or survivor of them.
